Commanders are mercenaries that you can hire for periods of time. There are six types of Commanders, and three levels of each commander. Level 1 Commanders can be hired with Dark Matter for 7 or 30 days, all higher-level Commanders can only be hired with Credits for 1 or 7 days.

Commanders are sometimes awarded in the Daily Gift and can also be awarded for doing well in one of the many in-game championships and competitions.

With the new update version 1.9.3(4213) you can only buy 7 days for Commanders.
